Basic Information on FESTKA

Czech road bike manufacturer

FESTKA is a bicycle manufacturer in the Czech Republic.

The capital of the Czech Republic is Prague, and as everyone associates it with, it is generally known as a city that flourished with music and is also famous for Czech beer.

Although it may not be well known to the general public, it is actually a city with a thriving industry as well.

The Czech Republic is located in Central Europe, and although it has good access to Germany and other countries, it belongs to Eastern Europe in terms of economic zone.

Therefore, the cost of living is lower than in Western Europe, and some companies locate their business base in the Czech Republic and expand their business in Western Europe.

One manufacturer with whom I have a business relationship is originally from France, but has moved his business to the Czech Republic.

This is possible because the Czech Republic is also an industrialized country, so it is no surprise that a road bike manufacturer like Festka exists.

History of FESTKA

FESTKA was founded in 2010.

The company was founded by Michael Mourecek and his colleague Ondrej Novotny, who had been involved in bicycle customization.

It is a manufacturer in Europe, where many bicycle manufacturers have been in business for more than a few decades.

Riders want to get what they really want (dream), regardless of the price.

It seems that FESTKA is developing bikes with carbon and titanium frames based on the concept that “FESTKA bikes must be the dream bikes you really want, even if you have to disregard the cost.

As a new manufacturer, they are still largely unknown in Japan, but looking at their followers on Facebook and Instagram, they have a good number of followers, so I think they must be a well-known manufacturer, especially in Europe.

FESTKA’s concept is highly customizable and original

FESTKA takes the view that all riders are different and should be adjusted individually.

The company’s selling point seems to be that its road bikes can be customized to adapt to each rider.

FESTKA has opted for a fully custom-made or semi-custom-made manufacturing method.

This is the antithesis of what many bicycle manufacturers are proposing today, which is mass production.

Therefore, although the prices are higher than those of other manufacturers, the system is designed to handle bicycle design and repairs that other manufacturers cannot.

FESTKA is a craftsman-like manufacturer that does not follow trends, but pursues what it thinks is necessary.

Compared to major bicycle manufacturers, the number of models is small, but their designs are by far the coolest.

How to order FESTKA

Order from the official website

Most of RESTKA’s bicycles are custom-made, so after exchanging information about the desired model, size, painting, etc. via the order form on the official website, the customer pays an advance payment to begin production.

The delivery time seems to be about three months.

After that, customers continue to communicate about specifications and review photos of the finished frames before and after painting.

After everything is finalized, an invoice is sent and the bicycle is shipped after payment is completed.

You can select any region of the world on the order form, so you can order from overseas, but you will need to communicate with them in English.

The DOPPLER design is also cool, with a mixed titanium and carbon frame.

The special edition (I think some are one-of-a-kind) designs are pretty cool, and you won’t find them from other road bike manufacturers.

I have quoted a few from FESTKA’s facobook.

There are many more cool road bikes besides these that you should take a look at.

This Japanese-style frame painting was done in collaboration with illustrator MICHAL BACAK.

It was sold for nearly 4 million yen, which may be a reasonable price for a one-of-a-kind piece with such detailed illustrations drawn on it.

Although the patterns are different, the production process can be seen in the video below, and it seems to be a very patient process.

The frame evokes the image of ceramics, drawn in collaboration with illustrator MICHAL BACAK.

The Dazzle camouflage, reminiscent of a zebra, is very artistic.

This unique paint job is also a characteristic of FESTKA road bikes.

The stripes on the titanium tube part of the DOPPLER are very cool.

FESTKA is cool.

FESTKA is not a typical mass-produced road bike.

FESTKA is a road bike with a craft element, so it seems that the manufacturer is not seen in road races such as the Tour de France.

It appears that you can order a full order, including paint.

For example, even existing components from Campagnolo, Shimano, and Sram can be painted with original paint, so this could be a great bike for those who want a one-of-a-kind road bike.

Many of these bicycles may be purchased for display in stores, as they will be too wonderful to ride.
